FIRST AMENDMENT - CENSORSHIP
The ACLU successfully sued a the Drake, North Dakota school district in support of a teacher who taught Kurt Vonnegut's book Slaughterhouse Five which a local minister called "a tool of the devil."  An out-of-court settlement permitted the book to be taught in 11^th and 12^th grade English classes and awarded the teacher $5,000.
